We have lots to celebrate here at Sugar Bowl Crafts. The website is up and running – many thanks to Rob for pulling it all together, our first big quilt show was successfully completed, and we are meeting loads of new and creative friends! To celebrate, we are giving away 8 fat quarters from the Katy Jones Collection “Priory Square” from Art Gallery Fabrics.
Katy Jones becomes AGF’s first UK designer….Priory Square is Katy Jones’ personal story of her upbringing and life in England. With an edgy palette, a classic crème and navy are set against potent varieties of pinks and emerald blues that jump. A collection layered by scenic surprises and narrated with a British accent.
Art Gallery Fabrics are already known to a lot of garment seamstresses because of the beautiful feel and way it drapes. We chose Art Gallery Fabrics because we think quilters are missing a trick here. Its light, silky and very versatile. Often quilters will lean towards the heavier fabrics, so we want to give you the chance to try a fabric that we believe in and use ourselves.
So here’s what you have to do to enter into the draw:
Leave a comment here to let us know you have seen the new website. Tell us what you would make with this fantastic bundle, then
head over to Facebook and like Sugar Bowl Crafts’ page
and then share the giveaway post.
I will draw the winner 22nd March 6pm GMT.
Special thanks must go to our friends and Hantex UK (distributors of AGF for the UK) for this lovely bundle and helping us get off the ground!
We’ll be at the Pagham Village hall Saturday 14 March 2015. We’ll be bringing fabric, quilts, cushions, and home accessories. I love that its Mother’s Day weekend too, so you can treat your mum to a little retail therapy and bring her along or pick up some cute gifts for her. Here’s a little taster of what we will be bringing along:
What a wonderful weekend! We had such a lovely time meeting so many new faces, and a couple of familiar ones. Its hard to say what was the highlight. It never fails to amaze me how many different projects we all come up with. Just when I’ve seen it all, someone creates something so fresh it can’t help but inspire! Amanda and I are both getting ready for our stall this weekend, so I’m keeping this fairly short to highlight what we’ve been up to!
For the lovely lady on Friday who was Harry Potter mad like me. Do check out The Bored Zombie (www.theboredzombie.com) for her Harry Potter inspired embroidery and quilts! And I have to mention the lovely Maryke from www.batiksnbeads.co.uk who was our neighbour and so supporting throughout the weekend. Plus I couldn’t help but purchase some embroidery threads and beads from them!
Thanks again all for the support we loved meeting you all!
Amanda and I are thrilled to be launching our own market place. We’ve watched our hobby grow over the last couple of years and decided to take that leap into fabric. Over the next few months we’ll be talking fabric, craft fairs, and craft parties! So come join us for inspiration, craft essentials and fun!
All the best
