Cotton Forest is the latest fabric line for Rosalie Dekker (previously Quinlan). Cotton Forest reflects the new direction of Rosalie’s life. It sets the mood of her move to a rustic little cottage tucked away in the forest, east of Melbourne. The beautiful main print is a whimsical forest with her signature Scandinavian folk vibe. Rosalie also showcases the crochet she is so passionate about. The hourglass print and pyjama stripe speak of hours crocheting in front of the fire in her pyjamas. The colour palette has softened with vintage pinks and greens, French red and linen tones all blending perfectly to create the perfect palette for all of your quilting and sewing projects. Enjoy your visit to the Cotton Forest.
Rosalie Dekker has been designing patterns for the quilting Industry under her label Rosalie Quinlan Designs for the past 17 years. She has also designed with her sister Melanie McNeice under the label “Melly & Me”. She currently has 7 fabric ranges, 4 book publications and over 250 patterns to her name. “I love everything about being a designer, from the freedom of working at home to the wonderful women I meet while teaching,” she says. Rosalie lives and works in the foothills of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, east of Melbourne, Australia. She is a mother to three adult children and is an enthusiastic collector of all things “retro”. “My inspiration for fabric design comes largely from vintage textiles, wallpapers and European folk design. Embroidery is also a huge part of my life. There is nothing quite like spending time sewing stitches when the day is done.”
